Tigress Walking With Her 5 Cubs Highlights Rising Tiger Population In India

A viral photo of a tigress and her cubs is a beacon of hope for conservationists. The image, taken by Siddharth Singh, who leads safaris in India’s Dudhwa National Park, quickly spread when shared on Twitter by Parveen Kaswan.

The most recent tiger census from India shows that the country’s tiger population has risen by 33 percent in the last four years.

Even with these positive figures, they are still listed as endangered, especially since there are only 3,900 tigers alive in the world today.
